GEORGE GERSHWIN
Bill Gregory's rendition of Gershwin's "Someone To Watch Over Me" has
become his 'signature' piece throughout the years and is a continual
special request at various events.
IRVING BERLIN
The works of Irving Berlin have especially interested Mr. Gregory
for many years. Berlin's simple yet stylistic compositions lend
special significance to either romantic events or to more lively office
parties. His "Change Partners" or "How Deep Is the Ocean" provides
a romantic touch to a romantic affair. William Gregory's renditions
of these beautiful songs are special favorites and are also personal
favorites of his. For the more lively office parties, Berlin's "I
Love A Piano" or "Alexander's Ragtime Band" are always included in his
repertoire with a special upbeat version.
COLE PORTER
William Gregory's renditions of Cole Porter songs have been much
requested through the years. From "Be A Clown", to "I Get A Kick
Out of You", each song from this particular composer proves to be a
favorite.
OTHERS
Mr. Gregory is particularly fond of the romantic songs of Broadway
shows, past and present. His repertoire includes tunes from
"Jekyll and Hyde", "Ragtime", "A Chorus Line", "The King and I",
"Phantom of the Opera", "Cabaret", "Les Miserable", and many more.
In addition to the fabulous songs of Broadway, William Gregory also
performs standards from World War II, including "Moonlight Serenade" and
"I'll Be Seeing You". Also, Mr. Gregory is quite receptive to
playing special requests and he enjoys improvising as needed to
accommodate any partygoer. Popular requests have included the
music of Billy Joel, Elton John, Carpenters, Beatles, Barbra Streisand,
Barry Manilow, and Michael Feinstein.
